  Cricket  is a  bat-and-ball game  played between two  teams  of eleven players on a  field , at the centre of which is a 22-yard (20-metre; 66-foot)  pitch  with a  wicket  at each end, each comprising two  bails  (small sticks) balanced on three  stumps . Two players from the  batting  team, the striker and nonstriker, stand in front of either wicket holding  bats , while one player from the  fielding  team, the bowler,  bowls  the  ball  toward the striker's wicket from the opposite end of the pitch. The striker's goal is to hit the bowled ball with the bat and then switch places with the nonstriker, with the batting team scoring one  run  for each of these exchanges.   Travel  is the movement of people between distant geographical location . Travel can be done by  foot ,  bicycle ,  automobile ,  train ,  boat ,  bus ,  airplane ,  ship  or other means, with or without  luggage , and can be one way or round trip  Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements, as in the case of tourism. The origin of the word "travel" is most likely lost to history. The term "travel" may originate from the old french   word  travail , which means 'work'. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the first known use of the word  travel  was in the 14th century. It also states that the word comes from Middle English  travailen ,  travelen   which means to torment, labor, strive, journey and earlier from Old French  travailler  which means to work strenuously, toil.
